This Privacy Statement is applicable to the processing of personal data (hereinafter referred to as: “Personal Data”) made available by sponsors, donors, gift givers, volunteers, campaign initiators, participants and relations and also to data obtained from a visit to and use of the website Cruyff Legacy 14k.
The Cruyff Foundation is the owner of the said website and the data obtained via the said website. The Cruyff Foundation determines the purpose for which the data are processed. In pursuance of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Cruyff Foundation is the “Controller”. This website was created with Kentaa, a product of Kentaa B.V. In pursuance of the GDPR, Kentaa is the “Processor”. Kentaa is held to take adequate technical and organisational measures to protect your Personal Data. The Cruyff Foundation concluded a Processing Agreement with Kentaa, in which this is expressly included.
Our privacy statement is not applicable to websites or activities of other organisations to which the website of the Cruyff Legacy 14K refers. Purpose of processing of your Personal Data
Via the website Cruyff Foundation 14k, the Cruyff Foundation processes (Personal) Data for the following purposes:

The creation and management of an action page and realisation and performance of sponsoring, gift, donorship, or crowd funding.
The Cruyff Foundation establishes data, e.g. name, email address, and bank details, data with regard to transactions, donations, participation data, or data that are relevant if you contact the Cruyff Foundation or contribute financially to objectives of the Cruyff Foundation as a sponsor, donor, collector, campaign initiator or participant in campaigns or events. -
The information about activities
The Cruyff Foundation keeps sponsors, donors, gift givers, campaign initiators, participants, volunteers, ‘friends’, and other interested parties informed of its activities by email, if you gave consent for this. The Cruyff Foundation shall always ask you for prior consent for the processing of your personal data. The Cruyff Foundation can ask for your (financial) support in e-mailings. -
The optimisation of the website and email
To optimise the content of the emails of the Cruyff Foundation, open and click ratio of emails can be viewed and recorded at an individual level. The Cruyff Foundation does this to render the messages as interesting as possible for the recipients. The improvement of services
In certain instances the Cruyff Foundation uses the email address of donors, sponsors, campaign initiators, participants in events and relations for research in order to improve the services.
The Cruyff Foundation establishes data for the offer and performance of events or the supply of subsidies to patients. To realise these purposes, medical data may be requested. You must give express prior consent to the processing of these special personal data for the aforementioned purposes. The said consent is recorded by the Cruyff Foundation. -
Social media advertising options
To shown targeted posts or advertisements, the Cruyff Foundation can rely on the options offered by social media platforms to advertise via them, e.g. Facebook target groups. The Cruyff Foundation uses Facebook’s email list custom audiences in order to approach or actually not approach specific target groups. The Cruyff Foundation creates a Custom Audience by uploading email addresses of its members / donors in an advertising tool. This group can then be linked to or excluded from a specific Facebook campaign. The Cruyff Foundation uses the Facebook pixel to measure the effectiveness of advertisements. Via the privacy settings of the social media channel, e.g. Facebook, you can unsubscribe from advertisements or change your preferences.
Manner of processing of your Personal Data
The Cruyff Foundation collects (and consequently processes) personal data via various forms on this website. If you register for participation in an event or start a campaign, sponsor, become a donor or make a gift then the Cruyff Foundation may request you for personal data. The Cruyff Foundation also does this if you register for the receipt of a newsletter (by email), request information, inquire after activities, ask a question, or react to the website. Sometimes, personal data are validated or combined with information that originates from external sources by the Cruyff Foundation. This way, the Cruyff Foundation keeps its database up to date.
If it becomes apparent that a person who, on any account whatsoever, leaves personal data behind on the website Cruyff Foundation 14k is under the age of 16 then the Cruyff Foundation shall, within the technical options at its disposal, verify whether the said data were supplied with consent of a parent or carer. If the said consent is absent then the Cruyff Foundation shall not proceed with processing of the personal data.
We use your personal data because it is required for the sending of the participation documents and the sending of information that is required to keep you informed of the Cruyff Legacy 14K. We can also use your data so that we can optimise our services and disseminate our message further. Sometimes we also retain data due to (statutory) financial and tax obligations.
Specifically, we process your personal data so that we can, inter alia:
- Inform you about your participation;
- Keep an administration in respect of your participation;
- Inform you about new campaigns and ask you to participate again;
- Inform you about the Cruyff Legacy 14K and the (new) programming;
- Keep track we can and cannot approach for our campaigns;
- Manage our financial administration and so that we can comply with financial (and statutory) obligations;
- Conduct market surveys so that we can better gear our services to the needs of our relations;
- Keep track of web statistics and facilitate the sharing via social media;
- Handle potential disputes;
- Conduct (have conducted) internal and external control on our services.
In respect of the emails: if you made your email available then a number of times a year you are informed by email about the Johan Cruyff Foundation, including the Cruyff Legacy 14K. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time by means of an unsubscribe link included in each and every email.
Security of your Personal Data
For the protection of your personal data, the Cruyff Foundation took appropriate physical, technical and organisational measures. Via its processor Kentaa, the Cruyff Foundation uses a secured server that is only accessible to relevantly authorised persons. Potential data that you fill in on online forms are sent in an encrypted manner. Data of participants, campaign initiators, sponsors, donors, relations, volunteers, friends and other beneficiaries are stored in secured systems.
Retention period of your Personal Data
We do not retain your data longer than required to realise the purposes mentioned in this Privacy Statement.
Payment
For the performance and processing of sponsoring, support payments, gifts, donations, and crowd funding the Cruyff Foundation relies on, via its processor Kentaa, Buckaroo B.V. Buckaroo B.V. processes the payment between the donation platform and your bank or credit card provider. Buckaroo B.V. thus receives insight into your payment details. The Cruyff Foundation respectively Kentaa concluded a processing agreement with Buckaroo B.V. in which the obligations of Buckaroo B.V. to take appropriate technical and organisational measures for the protection of your personal data are established.
Your data at campaign initiators, participant and project leaders
If you make a donation, give a sponsor gift, or participate in a crowd funding campaign (for instance: a one-off donation or the contribution to a crowd funding or campaign) then the campaign initiator / participant whom you sponsor respectively the project leader of the crowd funding campaign for which you made a donation shall have insight into your contact details and your donation. Your data are then exclusively used for the information of the campaign initiator, participant respectively project leader, the sending of a thank you note, or to be kept informed of a campaign or action. Your data are not made available to third parties. You can object to the said processing of your data with the Cruyff Foundation. The provisions are applicable to the said processing of your personal data in full.
Your rights
The Cruyff Foundation and the processors relied on by the same respect your rights pursuant to the GDPR. You can always and free of charge obtain information about your data that are processed by the Cruyff Foundation and correct or have the said data erased, if so required. In case you have a login account for this website, you can, after you have logged in, via the dashboard consult the overview of all your personal data that are retained for the use of this website. Via the dashboard you can, in this respect, request us to erase these data. In case you do not have a login account, you can contact us to obtain the said overview, adjust the data or have them erased.
If so required by you then you can also receive your data in a machine readable format (via a link with which you can download these data), for instance because you want to forward them to another entity. You can also object to the receiving of targeted information about the services that the Cruyff Foundation sends to you by email, post and/or SMS. You can submit your request for data portability or your objection to the processing of your personal data to the Cruyff Foundation via the email address: maurice@cruyff-foundation.org. Also if you have other questions in respect of the processing of your personal data you can send them to the aforementioned email address.
In the event you request the Cruyff Foundation to erase your data from its database, the Cruyff Foundation shall react to it in a proportional manner. In some instances, the request for erasure of your data cannot be met in full. For instance, because the Dutch Tax Administration requires that agreements are retained for 7 years. Also if you request to no longer be approached by the Cruyff Foundation for marketing purposes, the De Cruyff Foundation shall need to remember your name in order to be able to exclude you from future campaigns. If your request for the erasure of your data cannot be met, or not completely, then the Cruyff Foundation shall inform you of the relevant reason.
If you subscribed to a digital newsletter via email then each and every email shall contain a link with which you can unsubscribe.
Other
If you participate then your address, email address or telephone number can be used by the Cruyff Legacy 14K so that we can inform you of new campaigns or about information required for participation. This can happen by post, email or telephone. Each and every email and after each and every conversation by telephone the option is offered to unsubscribe from the relevant form of communication.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file with data that is stored on the hard drive or in the memory of your device. These data are anonymised. The Cruyff Legacy 14K uses cookies when offering its services. On the website you can find the explanation about the cookies and what cookies we use here. By law we can store cookies on your device if they are strictly required for the use of the website. We need your consent for any and all other types of cookies.
Language
This Privacy Statement was drawn up in the Dutch language. It was translated into the English and the French language. In the event of a difference between the English or French version and the Dutch version, the Dutch version of this Privacy Statement shall prevail. Any and all terms used in this Privacy Statement must be interpreted as Dutch legal terms and in accordance with the GDPR.
Complaints
The Cruyff Foundation is pleased to assist you if you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data by the Cruyff Foundation. On the basis of the privacy legislation, you are entitled to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority about the processing by the Cruyff Foundation.
