Cruyff Legacy 14K
One you walk for someone else!
Johan once said: “If you ever get the opportunity to do something for someone else, make sure you do it”. You now have the opportunity to help children, simply by participating with the Cruyff Legacy 14K. That’s how simple it can be.
On Sunday 24th April 2022, one day before what would have been Johan’s 75th birthday, thousands of participants will be running or walking into action from the Johan Cruyff ArenA. Together we will raise money, to ensure all children are able to develop through sports and play. A safe space to play sports is incredibly important for all children. Space for them to develop, space to make friends and space where they can improve both their physical and mental health. This unfortunately doesn’t happen as a matter of course for every child. These children, in particular, are for whom the Cruyff Foundation supports and develops sports activities across the world.
Action for Ukraine
We have supporting projects for refugees and status holders at shelters in the Netherlands and refugee camps outside of the Netherlands. Considering the current situation in Ukraine, 50% of the net proceeds of the Cruyff Legacy 14K will be used for sports projects with which the Cruyff Foundation will support shelters in the Netherlands where Ukranian refugees reside. Sports and play could help them to escape reality for a brief moment and just enjoy themselves.
Will you be walking for someone else too?
